Today had a much better start. Aside from waking up sick from having eaten WAY too much the night before, the entire day seemed to just fly on by.
I introduced a bunch of people to the site, and demoed dA muro for a few visitors... one of whom works for Martha Stewart Living. That totally threw me off because, if you know anything about deviantART, it's not exactly the kind of thing that someone from Martha Stewart Living would consciously want to spend 40 minutes of their day talking about, but I'm happy she came by, and maybe we'll get a mention somewhere (which would be pretty surreal, but awesome nonetheless).
In other, perhaps more stalkery news, I'd been aware that Philip DeFranco was in town, and after seeing him in line at the Apple Store yesterday, ran into him again after (of all things) randomly returning some tape to another booth. I let him know the location of our room and sure enough, he came by and drew some things. It was pretty neat to have him stop by. He and Lindsey (probably misspelled that, but whatevez ) are really nice people. Definitely hope to run into them again.
Additionally, I heard that our live chat with Felicia Day went well, so that's awesome. I didn't get to talk to her, or really see her all that much because for much of the day, I was sitting out front directing people into the room, but it was cool that she came by for the chat! She was super busy, so it was pretty cool that she made time for the chat.
... and I'm falling asleep again while writing this, so that'll be all for tonight!

The varying air pressure is pleasant to my ears...
I, like lots of other people, like listening to music. I unfortunately want to listen to more music than I have storage for, and until recently, I'd been one of those "it's worthless to not own the music you want to listen to" people. Building up a large music library and having to buy portable devices large enough to support it eventually becomes an annoying thing to maintain.
I should have known there would be a point where this was no longer a valid option without carrying around tons of physical media, or having to purchase increasingly expensive devices.
I recently took the time to look into what Rdio is, and I've got to say, I'm quite
Bustin' it out
Radio silence broken.
I've decided it's time to break out a new, ridiculous journal skin (with Google Fonts!).
The idea behind this skin was for it to look like a blend between a page in a book and a quote.
But really, this is a fun skin. Whenever I post a new one, I've got to save that individual version because I have to change all the margins to get the title in the right place below the body copy.
Hope you guys all enjoyed the September Wallpaper! It was super fun making it!
Went to MOCA...
This past weekend, abutton (https://www.deviantart.com/abutton) and I headed out to MOCA to check out Transmission LA, an art exhibit curated by Mike D of The Beastie Boys and sponsored by Mercedes Benz.
I'd already seen some photography from the event and that's what really made me want to see the place, so in my most earnest effort to get you LA locals down there, here's some photos from the show.
Oh, AND IT IS COMPLETELY FREE. Just go and walk in!
The show runs until May 6, 2012 and features nightly performances from musicians such as: Santigold, Mike D, Fat Lip and Diplo (Yes, Diplo)

I would like to extend a late "thank you" for all of the birthday wishes. I really appreciate all the comments and llamas!
