Moved In!

Alright, apartment is empty. Well... 99% empty. There's the stuff out of the back of my car (which hauls even more ass now that it's empty), and then the stuff I bought at Target tonight: inflatable mattress, pillow, and a towel. BTW... at the Glendale Target, well first off, it's 3 stories tall, but what's crazy to me is that they have separate escalators for the carts that take the carts up and down the escalators with you. It even keeps the carts level. I was quite surprised by that.
I'm typing this from my iMac sitting on the floor of my bedroom (and stealing someone's internet).
The move in process was pretty harmless except now, the keys that I usually have hanging from a belt loop on my right side have doubled in density because of all the keys they gave me. Six keys, and 2 electric fobs. One for the parking lot access doors, and another for the amenities. Also, one of those plastic "display" tags that they can put whatever they want in.
Finally, what's even stranger is that the elevator that I take to my floor (4th out of 4) bounces when it stops at a floor, but only at a living floor, not at any of the parking floors. It bounces like...22-28 times (yes, I counted), then the doors open. It's very strange. Not any less safe, so that's cool, but still, bouncing elevators are rare indeed.
Well, I'm going to blow up my bed. I'm tired.

The Public is more familiar with bad design than good design. It is, in effect, conditioned to prefer bad design, because that is what it lives with. The new becomes threatening, the old reassuring.

People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out; but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light inside.-Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
