That said, in my mind symmetry is just boring. I've gone through your dillemma [even tho Toronto's subway system (traditionally called TTC) is fairly ugly] to try to get 'urban landscapes'. And it takes a few tricks to get it to work properly. I find that obscene colours, like the ones you've got, added to a corner of the building you don't usually look at but would pass for something cooler is a good way to go.
Play with symmetry. I want to think it's not symmetric, but then oops, it is. Make me go 'oh', I didn't see that coming'.
