I, like lots of other people, like listening to music. I unfortunately want to listen to more music than I have storage for, and until recently, I'd been one of those "it's worthless to not own the music you want to listen to" people. Building up a large music library and having to buy portable devices large enough to support it eventually becomes an annoying thing to maintain.

I should have known there would be a point where this was no longer a valid option without carrying around tons of physical media, or having to purchase increasingly expensive devices.

I recently took the time to look into what Rdio is, and I've got to say, I'm quite pleased with their service. Sure, there are probably things that aren't on there, just like with other similar services, or you know, your physical music collection, or local record shop, but I'm enjoying it.

Especially streaming to my phone in my car while driving around. Quite awesome.

What I do
I work daily with the Creative Team in a managerial / design / explorative capacity. It's a little weird describing my own job, especially since the actual responsibilities are kind of nebulous – hazily defined and ever changing, but I thoroughly enjoy it.

I also (of course) work with the other departments in the company as well; Retail, Marketing, The Network, PR, Product... everyone. Even departments that don't officially "exist" 0_o.

What I don't do
- Policy Enforcement
- Moderation

Hello, could you tell me how I can make detailed arts, with shadows and everything, like the rest of Deviants? Because I'm new. Thank you.

I almost forgot one of the most important ones!

Perspective (Drawing environments for your characters to exist in, and also drawing objects that really feel like they're existing in a real space)…

Hey Martta! Welcome to DeviantArt!

Here's some tutorials to get you started! These links will set your browse mode to "Popular All Time", so you can see the tutorials the community likes the most at the top of the page. :)

Line Art (Your outlines)

Color Theory (How to use color effectively)

Shading (Adding form and depth to your art)

Human Form (Properly drawing people, these are also useful skills for drawing organic objects, not just humans)

Hair (This will also help with drawing flowing objects, similar to drapery, but more visually detailed)…

Drapery (Very useful for knowing how to draw fabric overall)…

Facial Expressions (Gotta give your characters personality!)…

Water (Useful for a deeper understanding of how light moves through materials, specifically refraction)…

Glass (Useful for reflections and translucency)…

And finally, because you very obviously like MLP...

If you need anything else, or have any questions about art or the community, lemee know!
